My book The Challenge of Baha’u’llah, first published 25 years ago, is now available from Stonehaven Press in a stunning commemorative edition!
The new version is revised, expanded, updated, and redesigned. It sports an exquisite fresh cover and easy-on-the-eyes typography. A thorough reformatting provides easier readability and even better ease of reference.
You’ll find it at Amazon (amzn.com/189312410X) as well as our own website (stonehavenpress.com/books-1/the-challenge-of-bahaullah/).
This edition is the book’s fourth — and the first to have a companion ebook version. The first two editions were issued in 1993 and 1999 by George Ronald, Publisher (UK). The third, in 2005, was from Baha’i Publishing (US), under license from George Ronald.
A few years ago George Ronald, at my request, gave me back the publishing rights I had assigned to them under our original contract. They didn’t have to do this; I doubt any other traditional publishing firm would have done so. It was an exceptionally generous act by the company I consider the world’s premiere publisher of Baha’i books. (Feel free to thank them, on my behalf, by buying multiple copies of every book in the massive George Ronald catalog: grbooks.com). Including their remaining stock of Challenge, which — for now — they still carry, along with my other GR book, He Cometh With Clouds.)
Stonehaven’s acquisition and republishing of Challenge is timely, since both the British and US earlier editions are nearing the end of their respective runs. (Actually, I think the US one may already be out of stock.)
The book has enjoyed robust sales for the past quarter-century, becoming a favorite tool for Baha’i teachers throughout the world. By picking it up, Stonehaven will keep this title alive and well for the foreseeable future.
The new paperback measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches, with a glossy color cover and 268 interior pages. It sells for $15.00 US (just like the former Baha’i Publishing edition). The Kindle ebook version is just $4.99.

Thanks so much, Gary. I’m very excited to learn of these new editions of Challenge, which is one of my favourite books.
Congrats!! Love the new cover.
A must have in every Bahais library. Well researched, always timely and unique in its content. There is no other book out there like it.
Thanks so much, dear Zabine! Comments like yours would mean a lot coming from anyone. But they are especially meaningful coming from you: You’re the most amazing Baha’i historian I know (and the creator/curator of a top-notch Baha’i History Museum to prove it). You authored the awesome Heart to Heart multimedia teaching tool. No one upholds higher standards, and I can only pray that Challenge, going forward, can keep living up to yours!
Congratulions Gary 🙂
Thanks Lee – Loren – Charles – Peter – Zabine – Dev – and the many other friends who’ve reached out with support. You lift my heart!
